Geotub enabled the reconstruction of the foundations of an electricity pylon in San Vito di Leguzzano in an easy and simple way. The pylon was built with a 220/132 kV capacity to supply electricity to the new railway station in Malo, in the province of Vicenza, Veneto.
The semicircular structure of Geotub and the easy locking of its 2 shells with handles, made Geotub the ideal solution, as the presence of the pylon did not allow formwork installation from above.
In addition, Geotub provided other benefits including:
- Easy manual handling, due to its weight of only 6.5 kg per piece,
- Due to its modularity, it did not have to be adapted on site,
- Rentability, which made it possible to optimize construction costs.
